The Case For Video Marketing By Darin Persinger
This afternoon at Inman News’ Agent Reboot, Darin Persinger of ProductivityJunkies.com, urged the audience to start using video for marketing. Why video, you ask? 73% of home owners say they would be more likely to list with an agent who uses video. Are you wondering how many agents do so? A meager 0.8%. That folks is what we call a window of opportunity!
Continuing with the statistics, Darin shared that video adds two minutes to the amount of time I user spends on your website. Video also boosts conversion rates to 9%. Darin also highlighted that products that have videos as part of their marketing are 95% more likely to be purchased.
Would you like to see a few example of real estate professionals using video in their marketing? No problem. Darin put the spotlight on two individuals:
- Katherine Cannon of High Heeled Homeowners
- Dale Chumbley of Clark County Real Estate Guide
We had the pleasure of meeting Dale at Inman Real Estate Connect in San Francisco this year and we can attest, he is fantastic.
So you know video is important and you’ve seen your peers using it, what’s stopping you? Darin said he has a sneaking suspicion you have a few worries. Maybe you’re camera shy, maybe you don’t know how to edit videos. Darin says, “forget all that, just shoot it!”
Darin closed his remarks by saying, “When it comes to videos for real estate marketing, there is quality in the quantity. You just need to start shooting them. Do a video tour of every house you list. Ask clients to do a video testimonial. Give a tour of the neighborhood. Make mistakes. It’s human and it’s likable.”
Ready, set, shoot!
