Thank you all for your encouraging feedback on our new blog, @C21-Home Matters. As Bev Thorne mentioned last week, we’ve developed the How-To TV: Social Media Series to ensure CENTURY 21 real estate professionals have the tools to connect with a new generation of home buyers and sellers who are starting their searches online and through social media channels.

As such, I’m pleased to announce the second video in this series: “Facebook 101,” which you can watch below and on the CENTURY 21 YouTube channel:

    It should be noted that there is a difference between a facebook profile, and a facebook page. Once you’ve got your profile set up, you need to set up a business page to be able to position yourself as an expert in your market. It’s against Facebook’s terms of service to use your personal profile for business purposes. That doesn’t mean you can’t share a bit about your business here and there, but for your ‘daily dialogue’, as the video appropriately suggests, you need to have a business page set up.

    Once you have a profile, you can go to http://www.facebook.com/pages/create.php to set up your business page.
